Color Inspiration #41

Hi all. Long time, no posts. It's nice to blog without obligation. Of course, being on vacation for a couple weeks might have had something to do with it, too.

In any case, it's Valentine's Day tomorrow and time to make a card for my dear husband. I followed Kristina Werner's color inspiration, which was perfect for the season.

I was so excited to finally use the flocked paper I picked up at Michael's. I just love the color combo. Kristina's use of SU's riding hood red, rather than real red, makes the inspiration a little more sophisticated, I think.

As I'm typing this, it occurs to me that I usually put the Live, Love, Laugh stamp on cards I make for Ron, since that's what we have on our wedding bands. Oh well. Guess I'm breaking with tradition this year.

For those interested, besides the flocked paper, I used RHR paper and inks as the card base and sentiment, black paper and ink as trim and sentiment, and basic gray dots and satin ribbon. Glue dots cut in quarters came in handy to mount the dots. The sentiment came from SU's Happy Everything. I have gotten so much use out of that stamp set.

Be sure to check back next week when I list a bunch of SU stamps I'm selling!
